We’re in MacFormat Again!
Those kind lads and lasses at MacFormat Magazine must like us, as they’ve been kind enough to make us “MUG of The Month” in the March 2009 edition.
Here’s what the article says:
The BBMUG is a group of South West-based Mac enthusiasts who meet on the third Monday of every month at The Cadbury Heath Social Memorial Club in Cadbury Heath, Bristol, which is roughly halfway between Bristol and Bath. There’s a £2.50 fee per meeting to cover the room hire, but no annual membership fees.
“The topics of our meetings are varied, and have ranged form a talk by one of our members on the use of iWeb to create a dynamic web site, whilst another, who is a keen photographic restorer, gave a demonstration detailing how he uses Adobe Bridge and Photoshop to manage the photos.”, its website explains. “We are keen to increase the membership to encourage demonstrators from Apple-related companies to attend.”
The group us currently being buoyed by Apple’s new store in Cabot Circus, Bristol. “After months of planning, the November 2008 meeting saw us meet in Bristol’s new Apple Store for the first time.”, explains the group. “After a quick prize-winning quiz, we had a tour around the store, were given an overview of the workshops on offer, told what Apple can do to help businesses, and to finish-off we were given a half-hour long iWeb tutorial”.
You can find out more about the BBMUG at www.bbmug.co.uk; just don’t forget to tell them you read about them in MacFormat magazine!.
Our thanks go to the MacFormat team for their support. Thank you!

Work in Progress!
Those of you who visit the site on a regular basis will no doubt have spotted the complete site revamp. Those of you who come here less often (or perhaps it’s your first time!) will probably notice the word ‘Trial’ plastered everywhere.
We’re testing out a new site layout, and will be registering the theme shortly. Before we do that, we just want to make sure everything works nicely with WordPress.
Please bear with us!
